Hi, and welcome to my site. I am Andrew Paton, the owner of Andrew Paton Highland Bagpiper, a professional bagpiper available to hire for any occasion. Based in Warrington and serving Carlisle, Manchester, Liverpool, and North Wales, I provide live bagpipe music tailored to your event, whether it’s weddings, funerals, parties, dinner nights, corporate events, or any other celebration. With over 30 years of experience, starting at age nine, I’ve performed worldwide at numerous events. Fully insured with a current DBS, I ensure peace of mind for every client. I also offer a wide range of tartan and uniform options to perfectly suit your event. My aim is to deliver professional, memorable, and heartfelt performances that leave a lasting impression.

JOINING THE ARMY
During my service in the Army, I was fortunate to travel extensively while performing with the band alongside my military duties. I had the honour of being part of one of the Army’s pipe bands, where I received exceptional training that significantly developed my skills and expertise. As an Army piper, I was privileged to participate in numerous prestigious events, including performances for the Royal Family, various international heads of state, the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, a North American tour, and the Hong Kong handover, among others. I also completed the Class 1 Pipers Course, a necessary step before undertaking the Army Pipe Majors course. Serving as a piper in one of the world’s prominent professional pipe bands gave me valuable experience performing at a diverse range of events. This background enables me to provide a highly professional and unmatched service to all my clients.

THE PRESENT
Since leaving the Army, I have continued performing at prestigious events both as a band member and solo professional piper. I have had the honour of serving as Pipe Major with several bands, organising and participating in events nationally and internationally, while regularly collaborating with funeral directors, celebrants, and veterans’ groups. Having played the bagpipes since age nine, I am confident in providing a professional, high-quality service for any occasion. My experience ensures every performance meets the highest standards, offering a wide range of tartans in full dress and casual styles tailored to suit each event.
